What Boys and Moms Should Know

Calling all Moms and sons! Adventure awaits you at the first ever Blue Springs, “What Boys and Moms Should Know” event. Based on the popular book by Hal Iggulden, this one-day event will teach moms and sons about fishing, football, chess, Pokemon card games and more. Class is held Saturday, November 15th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm at Vesper Hall, 400 NW Vesper Street. Cost: $17 per person. Call (816)228-0137 to request an informational packet. Class registration begins November 3rd. Geared for ages 5 – 11 years.

Blue Springs Art Commission Announces 2009 Call to Artists
"Serendipity" will be the Fourth Annual Temporary Art Exhibit in Blue Springs  

Blue Springs, Mo. - The Blue Springs Public Art Commission has announced its Call to Artists for the 2009 Temporary Art Exhibit in Blue Springs, Missouri. This year's art exhibit is entitled "Serendipity" and will be open to the public from April 1, 2009 through September 30, 2009. This is the fourth year the Art Commission has offered the temporary exhibit.

This year's exhibit will be located on the grounds of St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs. More...

Installation of downtown sidewalks

Drive Carefully! Sidewalk Installation Continues Along 10th Street Blue Springs, Mo. - A portion of 10th street North from Walnut Avenue to Main Street is experiencing increased workmen traffic due to the continued installation of sidewalks along 10th street. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling this area during the installation period. The installation of sidewalks along 10th street is made possible by funds received through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) provided by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).The City of Blue Springs extends its thanks in advance for the community's cooperation during this project.
