Funding for our Parks

I have heard from many of you regarding the Mayor’s decision not to pursue funding for the maintenance and expansion of our parks in Blue Springs.  You can read more about this at the following links:

If you have comments about this decision, you should always feel free to contact your elected officials about this or any issue regarding your city and to let them know your opinion on issues they are considering.  Following is a link to complete contact information for our Mayor and Council Members:  http://www.aboutbluesprings.com/page/City-Council-Contact-Info.aspx.

Pooches on the Parkway a Success!

clock May 26, 2008 13:55 by author Jeff Quibell

Last weekend the third annual Pooches on the Parkway fund raiser for our off-leash dog park was held.  The weather couldn't have been better for a dog walk!  Thanks for helping to support the only Blue Springs off-leash dog park.  We appreciate everyone who participated and especially all those who volunteered their time.  Just a reminder: the park (on the east side of Lake Remembrance) is now open – enjoy this wonderful park with your dog.  For more information about the dog park go to http://www.ruffbluesprings.org/.

For those of you who are looking for a convenient way to wash your dog, there is a new dog wash located at the car wash just north of Highway 40 on 19th Street.  This unique facility features a safe way to wash your dog, rinse them off, and dry them.  There is even a special deodorizer spray setting for dogs that have had a run in with a skunk.
