St. Mary’s Kicks Off Family Week with

Free Health Fair and Children’s Carnival

Blue Springs, Mo. – St. Mary’s Medical Center kicks off Jackson County Family Week again this year by hosting a free Family Health Celebration on Saturday, April 21, from 9 a.m.-noon with activities for the whole family.

The fun starts with a walk around the fitness track on the St. Mary’s campus at 9 a.m. Several free screenings will be offered to help you assess your health including: cholesterol checks (for the first 50), carotid Dopler screening, blood pressure, blood sugar, foot screening, BMI analysis, balance testing, grip strength testing, bone density, sleep assessment, vein screening and more.

Special guests include the Central Jackson County Fire Protection District. They’ll have information on the Vital Heart program, plus a smoke house, where children can learn what to do in case of a fire.

There are many activities planned for kids, including carnival games, moon walk and obstacle course. Invite your family, friends and neighbors to attend this annual community event. It’s fun and it’s FREE.
