St. Mary’s Medical Center Hosts

Healthy Heart Celebration


Kansas City, Mo. – You may already know that dark chocolate and red wine are good for your heart—that’s just one reason to celebrate Heart Month at St. Mary’s Medical Center. The No. 1 reason to celebrate heart month is learning about heart health to enjoy a longer life with those you love.

Enjoy an evening with friends at St. Mary’s Healthy Heart Celebration, Thursday, February 21, 6-8 p.m.,

in the Education Center at St. Mary’s.

There will be a heart healthy cooking demonstration, an educational presentation from St. Mary’s Stroke Navigator and a fashion show featuring the color of the month—RED—and the new spring line from

Dress Barn.

            6      p.m.         Social Time—with light hors d’oeuvres and beverages

            6:30 p.m.         Save Your Heart; Save Your Brain—Angela Hawkins, Stroke Navigator

            7      p.m.         Heart Healthy Cooking Demonstration

            7:30 p.m.         Fashion Show—featuring Dress Barn of Blue Springs

            8      p.m.         Door Prizes
